Smokycity Silver Charmer CDX, JH, OA, OAJ, NSD, NRD, V, U-CD, U-AGII. Shatze was my foundation bitch. Due to a foot injury as a puppy, she never finished her championship. She taught me a lot over the years, and passed her wonderful health, temperament, and trainability on to her children and grandchildren. Sadly, we lost her due to a botched spay when she was just 6 1/2 years old. We miss her so. Vague memories of a rescue Weim that stayed with us briefly in 1964 and a puppy that didn't live to be very old left me with a Weim-shaped hole in my soul. When my kids had grown and I was in a position to be an at-home Mom to whatever breed of dog I wanted, the life-long yearning for a Weim was fulfilled through the purchase of Shatze. Her foot injury gave us an incentive to explore other dog activities, which is when we began pet assisted therapy, competitive obedience, and agility. We learned a lot from Shatze during her all too brief life. I continue to learn through her two daughters, one son, and one granddaughter who now share my home.
